The Connery written Bond film that never was
James Bond and the Secret Service
While this sounds like a Harry Potter film, it was actually one of the names used during production for a non-Eon Bond film co-written by Sean Connery. The other title was Warhead.
This was in 1976, one year after Jaws became the summer blockbuster, which may be why the plot was based around Sharks. Robotic sharks. With a nuclear payload. That lived in the sewer. In New York.
That could explain why it was never made then. Although with today's shark based film plots ("Hey let's make a shark film where it rains sharks. From a tornado"), it might happen — although not with Bond.
We are glad that it wasn't made, and that the only Jaws in Bond, was a henchman whom everyone loved.
