A-ha's Morten Harket is living with Parkinson's disease
A-ha frontman Morten Harket has revealed he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
The 65-year-old stated on the band's website that he has had several brain surgeries and is managing his disease symptoms.
Parkinson's harms the brain's nervous system. This can lead to tremors and other symptoms that may get worse over time. The disease can be treated with surgery and medication, but there's currently no cure.
Morten said he had neurological procedures last year. Doctors implanted electrodes in his brain, which helped reduce his symptoms.
"I've got no problem accepting the diagnosis", he said. "I'm trying the best I can to prevent my entire system from going into decline".
Sending him love from For Bond Fans Only.
