"You aren't very handsome man — 40 baht"
Casino Royale director Martin Campbell revealed he had one doubt about casting Daniel Craig as James Bond — that he wasn't good-looking enough:
"My only reticence with Daniel; he was really a superb actor, there's no doubt about that. But it was the fact that people like Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan were all traditional-looking Bonds.
"All handsome guys, all sexy, all very attractive to women, and so forth. Daniel was tougher and rugged but wasn't a traditionally handsome guy. So I just thought about that for a minute, and apart from that, absolutely, it was always him".
The two-time Bond director also told Henry Cavill he was "a little tubby" during his screentest of the role that eventually went to Daniel.
Quite judgmental, our Martin, isn't he?
