The Art of FBFO: part 9

Every month, the For Bond Fans Only Facebook group asks members to vote for a Bond-related topic/theme to celebrate and discuss in depth. For instance, FBFO may spotlight one of the actors, a specific film in the series, a character, a novel/short story, etc.

Anything is up for suggestion, by any member... but there's a twist. You see, FBFO has an affectionate streak of sardonic humour running throughout it, very much like Bond himself, so there is only one caveat: all suggestions have to be pun-tastic! This is demonstrated by the gems (and groaners) below.

Since February 2020, FBFO's very own Chris Smith has produced the artwork banner images for these monthly, pun-embracing, celebrations. Collated below are his designs for the first 3/4 of 2023. Enjoy. 

January 2023: "Tanuary"

Theme: those Bond locations to work your tan.

February 2023: "Webbruary" 

Theme: villains' disfigurements, which controversially continue to this day.

March 2023: "M-Arch Nemesis" 

Theme: Bond villains that are like the ornament on top of the Christmas tree.

April 2023: "Licence to April" 

Theme: the darkest Bond film in sunny spring: LTK (spot the error).

May 2023: "Die Another May" 

Theme: possible the most ludicrous Bond (but there's still Moonraker).

June 2023: "CartJune" 

July 2023: "Ju-thigh"

Theme: legs!

August 2023: "Morgue-ust" 

Theme: "Names is for tombstones, baby!"

September 2023: "SepKenber" 

Theme: the genius of Ken Adam.
