It appears that the world is not enough for Pierce Brosnan. So much so that he feels the need to bathe in off-limits thermal springs.

Pierce has been accused of venturing past boundaries to stop walkers from reaching hazardous water.

Rules at Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, state visitors must stay on the walkways. Wandering away is punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $5,000.

Temperatures in the springs can soar to 71C. Some can register as low as 2 on the pH scale — just one mark above coercive stomach acid.

Pierce is due to appear in court charged with ‘foot travel in a thermal area’ and ‘closure violation’.

At least 22 people have died from burns sustained in Yellowstone’s springs and geysers, with dissolved body parts discovered.
