Touch it, stroke it, undress it and lick it
Dame Shirley Bassey has been a first-class performer for 67 years, so it's apt she's getting her own stamps. Royal Mail is producing commemorative postage to celebrate the Welsh-born singer, 86.
Dame Shirley will join fellow James Bond theme tune artist Sir Paul McCartney, who got the treatment in 2021.
Don Black, who co-wrote the suggestive lyrics to Diamonds Are Forever with John Barry, said Dame Shirley's inclusion was "wonderful news", adding:
"Shirley is possibly the best female performer of her generation. She deserves every accolade going. I hope a stamp is just one of many tributes".
You can turn Shirley around and lick her from 21 September.
