Bonhams auctioning Spectre Land Rover

Auction house Bonhams is auctioning the Land Rover from the Alpine chase in SPECTRE.

Ten cars were built for the film, by specialists Bowler, based on the standard Defender 110 Crew Cab model. Inside, Recaro seats and a roll cage was installed, whilst under the bonnet, the standard 120bhp engine was upgraded to 185bhp and producing 368lb/ft of torque.

Externally, 37" diameter all-terrain tyres were fitted, giving the Land Rover its aggressive 'go-anywhere' look. Also, body-wise, it features marks and dents which occurred during filming, as this car was used extensively in filming. Of the ten built, it is the most significant, as others were used for promoting the film.

Bidding is expected to reach £220,000. The auction takes place on 13 July 2018 at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
