After being awarded an MBE at Windsor Castle, Simon Le Bon, Duran Duran's legendary frontman, is now Sir-ish Simon.

Prince William handed over the shiny honour, recognizing Simon's stellar contributions to music and his knack for making waves in the charity world.

"What an incredible and totally unexpected honour", Simon says. "I'm truly beyond thrilled and surprised. It's fitting that the honour has been awarded not just for my role in music but also for the work I've been fortunate to be involved with outside the band for some of the causes I believe in".

Beyond belting out a Bond song, he's busy saving the planet. As an ambassador for the Blue Marine Foundation, he's fighting to protect our oceans from turning into giant pools of plastic.

He also lends his star power to the Tall Ships Youth Trust, helping disadvantaged young people discover the joy of sailing.
